Chebanse, IL - Thomas J. Fraher, age 70, of Chebanse passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025 at his home. He was born April 6, 1955 in Kankakee, the son of James L. & Rosella (Highland) Fraher. Thomas married Denise Bishop (Elliott) on November 7, 2015 at the Kankakee Country Club.
Thomas was the owner and operator of Bulk Master and Right on Target. He was a graduate of Eastridge High School. Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and going on safaris. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Thomas was the past president of the Chebanse Lions Club and a member of Exline Sportsman's Club and former treasurer.
Surviving are his wife, Denise Fraher of Chebanse; two daughters, Carrie & Brian Hertz of Wilmington and Kristy & Joe Richie of Chebanse; two stepdaughters, Amanda & Kenneth Berger of Herscher and Leanne & Kevin Boyd of Herscher; one stepson, Robert Elliott of Chicago; one sister, Mary Jane Harris of Wildwood, MO; and ten grandchildren, Jacob Hertz, Alex Hertz, Ella Richie, Blake Richie, Preston Berger, Arthur Berger, Eloise Berger, Eila Berger, Ensley Boyd, and Evan Boyd. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Debbie Cady.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home Bourbonnais. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Everyone is invited to join the family Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Exline Sportsman's Club to continue celebrating Tom's life with food, friends, and sharing memories.
