Kankakee, IL - Terry L. Gordon, age 76, of Iroquois and formerly of the Bradley/Bourbonnais area, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
He was born February 23, 1949 in Kankakee, the son of Glenn & Margaret Lafine Gordon.
Terry married Cheryl Blanchette in 1970. She preceded him in death on November 27, 2012.
Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served in Vietnam and also served for a short time in the reserves after active duty.
Surviving are one sister, Linda & Tim McGrath of Bourbonnais; one brother, Ronnie (Delaina) Gordon of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Tyler Gordon and Annabelle Gordon; two great-grandchildren, Jaycee and Krue; and a lifetime friend, Joey LaGesse of Manteno.
In addition to his wife, Terry is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Adam Gordon; one sister, Rhonda Gordon; and one great-granddaughter, Lyric.
Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Schreffler Funeral Home in Kankakee.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, also at the funeral home. Rev. Mike Seed will officiate the service.
Interment will follow at Mound Grove Gardens in Kankakee.
Memorials may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
