Sherri Grysen, age 60, of Manteno passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her home. She was born April 8, 1964 in Elizabeth, NJ, the daughter of Bruce & Helen (Behr) Newman. Sherri married Pastor Robert A. Grysen on November 3, 1984 in Hudsonville, MI.

Sherri was co-owner of Styken Property Management. She loved to travel and enjoyed cooking. Most of all, Sherri loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of Cornerstone Church, where she was a faithful partner in ministry alongside her husband, Pastor Bob.

Surviving are her husband, Pastor Robert Grysen of Manteno; two sons, Rob (Alise) Grysen of Cary, NC and Luke Grysen of Scott Air Force Base; two daughters, Leah (William) Stearns of Naperville and Kate (Steve) Styck of Chebanse; her mother, Helen Newman of Lynn Haven, FL; two sisters, Dawn (Corey) Colravy of Tampa, FL and Hope Groshans of Brick, NJ; eight grandchildren, Scarlett, Theo, Sawyer, Shepard, Selene, Emerson, Bennett, and Maren. Sherri was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Cornerstone Church in Bourbonnais. An additional visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, also at Cornerstone Church.
