Sharon Louise Lowey Obituary

Sharon Louise Lowey, 78, of Limestone, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Riverside Medical Center.

She was born on September 12, 1946, at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, the daughter of Martin and Mary Lou (Schultz) Fieleke. Sharon retired from Shapiro Developmental Center as a mental health technician. She was a member of the Bonfield Evangelical United Methodist Church and liked to volunteer with Red Bird Misson and local food banks. Sharon enjoyed working in her yard, doing puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by two sons, Kurtis Sinks of Middleburg, FL and Tyson Lowey of New Lenox; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Ron Metzka of Limestone; grandchildren, Emily, Ivy, Eden, Dalton, Cameron, Ella, Hudson, Logan, Avery, and Lexi ;sisters, Stephanie Kibbons of San Antonio, TX, Dawn Einfeldt of St. Petersburg, FL, and Judi Crowly of St. Petersburg, FL; brothers, Gary (Geri) Einfeldt of Arizona and Rick (Sherry) Einfeldt of Bourbonnais; and her furbaby, Lexi.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law, Dora Sinks.

Services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Grand Prairie Cemetery in Bonfield.

Memorials may be made to the River Valley Animal Rescue, Momence and Bonfield Evangelical United Methodist Church, Bonfield.
