Randy R. Denton, 67 of Naples, Florida, passed away on (day of the week) February 5, 2025 at his mother's home in Naples. He was born July 8, 1957, in Kankakee, Illinois, the son of Cleo D. Denton and Jane R. Leinen Hand.
He is survived by his mother, Jane Hand of Naples, Florida, one brother Alan (Cathy) Denton, of Naples, Florida and one sister Robin (Bill) Kress of Kankakee, Illinois.
Also surviving him are his three children, Megan Denton, Randi Denton, and Cory Denton; his six grandchildren, Layla, Donovan, Josephine, Connor, Mackenzie, and Wade, along with his life partner, Debra Ballenger. In addition, Randy has many aunts, uncles, and cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends that love him and will miss him.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, his maternal grandparents that were a big part of his life when he was growing up, Raymond and Minnie Leinen, his nephew, Sean Denton; his wife, Cynthia Denton; and his grandson, Charles Denton.
Randy was raised in Momence, Illinois, a place that he loved and always considered his home. He was a Momence High School graduate. Randy lived in California for a time but decided to settle in Florida where most of his family was living.
Randy had a heart that overflowed with love and kindness. He was deeply devoted to his family and took great pride in being a son, brother, father and grandfather. His presence and genuine spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
In accordance with Randy's wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes scattered. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aids veterans and first responders. donationsupport@t2t.org
Truly one of a kind and gone far too soon, Randy leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and generosity. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who love him deeply.
