Michael "Mike" Williams, age 85, of Manteno, passed Thursday, March 6, 2025 at his home.

He was born November 13, 1939 in Chicago, the proud son of the late David & Christina nee Monson Williams.

Mike married Dianne nee Mitchell on December 30, 1992 at St. Thomas Beach in the Caribbean.

Mike retired as a sales manager with Brimingham Steel.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Mike was a member of the American Legion Post 755. He enjoyed golfing. Most of all, he loved watching his nine grandchildren grow up. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and having a good time.

Mike was the beloved husband of 32 years of Dianne Williams of Manteno; loving father of Pat (Jill) Williams of Ripley, NY; dear step-father of Jodi Milk of Kankakee and Gary (Shannon) Engelman of Kankakee; cherished grandfather of Morgan, Mackenzie, Colin, Carleigh, Mason, Devin, Elliott, Abby, and Sydney; and uncle of many.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by one son, Michael Williams; one daughter, Christina Williams; one sister, Mary Fransen; and one brother, Andy Williams.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. memorial service on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno. Deacon Patrick Skelly will officiate the ceremony.

Memorials may be made to Uplifted Care, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, or Alzheimer's Association.
