Lois B. Mussa, 77, of Manteno, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital.
She was born September 10, 1947, in Kankakee, the daughter of Raymond C. and Emma M. Tibbie. She married Carl A. Mussa in Kankakee. Lois worked multiple jobs throughout her life, she was a cashier at Manteno Foods, Support Service Worker at Shapiro Mental Health Hospital, and a hostess/waitress at Mayberry Junction. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno, Illinois. Lois loved nothing more than taking care of her family.
Lois is survived by her children, Faustina M. (Tony) Price, Charles T. Hamilton, and James J. (Julie R.) Hamilton; eight grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dale R. Tibbie, Brenda K. (Timothy) Bukowski, and Ramel L. Tibbie; siblings-in-law, Terry Piatt and Connie Tibbie.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents; as well as siblings, Marlene M. Piatt, Cheryl G. (Dan) Burklow, and Carl D. Tibbie.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 11, 2025, at Brown-Jensen Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until the memorial at 6 p.m. with Deacon Pat Skelly officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
