Bradley, Illinois - Lance G. West, age 78, of Bradley passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at his home. He was born August 13, 1946 in Kankakee County, the son of Alanson & Juanita (DuCharme) West. Lance married Patricia Lower at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kankakee in 1986. She preceded him in death in 2002.
Lance worked as a security guard for over 25 years at the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno. He enjoyed traveling, listening to music, especially jazz and blues, and watching game shows. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and his grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Lance West of Bradley and Anthony West of De Forest, WI; three grandchildren, Lance Karter, Alivia West, and Genna West; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Patricia West, Lance is preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of the 2 p.m. memorial service on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Clancy- Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Inurnment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
