Kankakee, Illinois - Karen Linn Morrical, 68, of Kankakee, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at her home,
She was born November 17, 1956, in Kankakee, the daughter of Wayne E. and Alma E. (Rolls) Schweigert. She was a beautician for 20 years and a devoted homemaker. On December 6, 1975, she married her childhood sweetheart, Miles A. Morrical at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Kankakee.
Karen was known to make every day special for everyone and was always there when you needed her. She was unbelievably kind, and even volunteered her time for many years at St. Paul's in the lunchroom, where she was a member of the church. Karen was very family oriented and loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her sisters and took multiple trips to Disney with them. She also had a knack for flower gardening and crafting. Karen also had a love for animals, especially her cat, Patches. Karen also loved studying her families genealogy and was a member of the Kankakee Valley Genealogical Society.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Miles A. Morrical Sr. of Kankakee; three children, Amy Morrical of Kankakee, Tammy (Merle) Tholen of Bonfield, and Miles Morrical Jr. of Kankakee; 6 grandchildren, Hunter Morrical, Wyatt Butler, Christopher Tholen, Gabrielle Tholen, Rylan Tholen, and Scarllett Tholen; siblings, Barb (Dale) Hartman of Bourbonnais, Brenda (Michael) Morgan of St. Anne, Keith (Laurie) Schweigert of Bourbonnais, Kevin Schweigert (Roxanne Hines) of Bradley, and Rhonda (David) Luhrsen of Chebanse; in-laws, Melodie (Guy) Mason of Momence, David (Lori) Morrical of Kankakee, Timothy (Sherry) Morrical of Kankakee, and Gary (Patricia) Morrical of Kankakee; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mervyn (Mary Ann) Schweigert; as well as father and mother-in-law, Harold and Isabelle Morrical.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, 2025, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Jensen Funeral Home, Kankakee. A second visitation will be held April 22, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Jensen Funeral Home, Kankakee. Burial will immediately follow at Kankakee Memorial Gardens.
