Janice K. Giroux, age 81 of Bradley, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL., surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 10, 1943, in Kankakee, the daughter of Ralph and Freeda (Jones) Legris. Janice married Robert L. Giroux on August 18, 1962, at Maternity BVM Catholic Church, Bourbonnais.
Janice was a parishioner of Maternity BVM Catholic Church, Bourbonnais.
Janice was a retired manager of Family Dollar Store and managed Pizza Hut Restaurants in both Kankakee and Bourbonnais.
Janice was a graduate of Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School. She was active in various organizations at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno. Janice was an avid reader. She enjoyed cooking, NASCAR, and football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs. Janice hosted home parties for Tupperware and Sarah Coventry. She liked train travel and going to New Orleans and the Daytona 500.
Surviving is her husband, Robert of Bradley; three sons, Bryan (Judy) Giroux of Milwaukee, WI, Brent Giroux of Boise, ID; Brad (Lisa James) Giroux of Ignacio, CO; three daughters, Angela Burns of Stockton, MO, Virginia Boudreau of Bradley, Pam (Randy) Ravens of Manteno; two sisters, Daryl (Melvin) Arseneau of Bourbonnais, Linda (Joel) Peterson of Durango, CO; sister-in-law, Janet Giroux of Bourbonnais, brother-in-law, Clarence Giroux of Vermont; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Joshua Giroux; one brother, Ralph Legris; one sister and brother-in-law, Dolly and Walter Sicard; one son-in-law, LeRoy Burns; one sister-in-law, Rita Lil Girard; and one brother-in-law, Earl Giroux.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial Mass on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Maternity BVM Catholic Church, Bourbonnais. Inurnment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
