Sullivan, Illinois - Janet Harvey, 85, of Sullivan, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025 at her daughter's home, surrounded by her family, in Grant Park, Illinois.
Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2025 in the Sullivan Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Justin Cullen officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan. Burial will be in the Jonathan Creek Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials are suggested to Sullivan Faith Lutheran Church. Janet was born April 16, 1939 in Danville, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel Watrous Meers. She was a member of the Sullivan Faith Lutheran Church. Janet enjoyed spending time with her family playing games and watching movies. She married Gary Lee Harvey, Sr on January 23, 1960 in Danville, and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2006.
Surviving are her son Gary Lee Harvey, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Sullivan and daughter Erin Hamann and her husband Ron of Grant Park, Illinois; sisters Carol Welker and Debra (Brock) Blinn of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother Rick Meers of Florida; grandchildren Kyle (Delanie) Harvey, Kaci (Brandon) Hall, Cameron (Elizabeth) Harvey, Alexander Harvey, Mitch Weakley (Nikki Jones), Andy (Nicole) Hamann and Krysta (Mark) Farina; and great-grandchildren Violet, Jace, Tate, Sutton, Wren and Harper.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
