Glen Sorensen, 75, died peacefully on March 28, 2025. He was born in Morris, Illinois, and spent his adolescent years in Bradley. He later settled in Geneva, IL, where he lived for over 20 years with his wife, Pamela, and daughters, Shauna and Brianna.
He worked at AT&T for 25 years, but his true passions were found in his garage and garden. Glen loved cars and was also a skilled woodworker, building bookshelves for his daughters that they still cherish. Glen was known for his sarcasm and lovable grumpiness. He had a surprising knack for winning at Cards Against Humanity, much to the disbelief and amusement of his daughters. After losing his wife, Glen quietly and lovingly stepped into both parenting roles, offering his daughters support, humor, and love.
He is survived by his daughters, Shauna Sorensen (spouse Brandon Weissler) and Brianna Sorensen (spouse Eli Edwards), his beloved grandson Harrison, and his sister Marilyn McDermott. He also leaves many nieces and nephews who brought him joy over the years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Poynter; his parents, Lucille and Orville Sorensen; his brother, Kenneth Sorensen; and his loyal dog, Desi. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
In place of flowers, please consider donating in Glen's name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
