Aimee Gordon Obituary

Aimee Rose Eura-Anne (LaMore) Gordon, 45, of Bradley, was taken by Jesus to add another "Rose" to his garden Thursday (Jan. 9, 2025). Aimee was surrounded by her family and friends at the time of her passing.

Aimee was born Sept. 4, 1979, in Kankakee, the daughter of Gary LaMore and Michelle (Minton) Scheibling.

She graduated from Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School in 1996.

Aimee married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Arthur Scott Gordon (he survives), on Oct. 7, 2000, at Bradley Evangelical Methodist Church. The devoted couple were rarely apart, even working together when possible. For 24 years they wrote their own love story. One son also survives, Alexander James Gordon, 21, of Bradley.

She was an avid reader, loved to scrapbook, play games and solve family mysteries with genealogy. Her beautiful smile, laughter and joy of life will never be forgotten. She was happiest when she was with her family.

Remaining to cherish Aimee's memory are her husband, Arthur; son, Alex; dad, Gary; mom, Michelle; second dad and buddy, Jeff Scheibling; brother, Ryan (Becky) LaMore, of Bradley; sisters, Hollie (Brandon) Page, of Lewiston, Idaho, and Jessica (Andrew) Prentkowski, of Bourbonnais; her aunt, Shelia Rogers, of La Fayette; uncles, Dale (Janice) LaMore, of Bradley and Mark (Denise) LaMore, of Bourbonnais; special friends, Carrie and Mike; her many cousins and friends; and her fur baby, Abbey.

"Our lives were enriched by Aimee's presence. Her departure leaves an unfillable void in our lives, yet we do have the comfort in memories and the love we shared," her family and friends said.

Aimee loved her nieces, Rylee LaMore, Aliza Page and Emaline Prentkowski; and nephews, Issac Page, Logan LaMore and Maxwell Prentkowski.

Preceding her joining the Lord were maternal grandparents, Alfred and Eura (Ray) Minton; paternal grandparents, Maynard and Mary Ann (McCann) LaMore; grandma, Sandy Scheibling; and her aunt, Rose (Minton) Reimer and aunt, Shirley (Minton) Hargrave.

A celebration of life will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at Jensen Funeral Home, 3639 E. State Route 17, Kankakee.

Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
